OK - Where has the summer gone? I was looking forward to driving down the pretty Oxfordshire lanes in the sunshine, Het Ho.82 hammies - Wow - what an excellent entry! Much thanks to Tim (book steward) and Catherine and Rebecca (my pen stewards) for putting up with my daft comments and hi-speed, bingo style scoring.
Although the Campbells were in fine form and doing well, some stunningly white and unblemished Albinos just cruised past them. This large class combined Normals with Agenté and Albino due to small numbers of the latter.
Some lovely looking Chinese. Even the Dom. Spot weren'tcursed by the normal white shoulders. If only they had been bigger they would have stood a fighting chance against the other classes in points.
The Russians combined Normal, Pearl and Sapphire with a nice spattering of each. On average they were smaller than the Campbells. Lots more ladies out in the field which is nice to see.
My discovery of the day was that Platinum (all colours) males seem to suffer from diminished bits (not that I make a habit of comparing it just presented itself that way) what an odd side effect of dabbling in colours. But where have all the mottles gone? Some very pretty and sweet natured animals that were a joy to judge.
