It is with deep regret that I have to inform the Fancy of the death of Jeannie Parlett who passed away on Friday July 13th, 2001. Jeannie, together with her late husband, Bob, was a founder member of both the Midland & Northern Hamster Club and the National Hamster Council.
All through their lives they were stalwart members of the clubs always willing to pass on their vast knowledge to anyone interested in learning about hamsters. Even over the last few years, in spite of her ill health, Jeannie still managed to attend some shows thanks to Ray Masters. She always had a smile and would often joke and reminisce about past hamster showing adventures.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. I deeply reget that due to an unmovable date schedule at work I was not able to attend her funeral to represent the National Hamster Council. I know Jeannie would have understood.
